One of the esteemed members of the EOS® Implementer community, Ken “Hurricane” DeWitt, shared nine things small business owners should focus on during this crisis.  He graciously offered to EOS Implementers the right to share freely.

Prior to becoming a Certified EOS Implementer, Ken was a turn around specialist.  Here are Ken’s nine things to do right now:

1)      Stay focused and disciplined

2)      Make certain you have created a contingency plan, scenario plan and cash plan for the foreseeable future

3)      Prepare to be the leader needed for your family, company and community

4)      Decide immediately how much you can do to help your employees get through this crisis

5)      Prepare a Reverse Accountability Chart

6)      Get good at weekly cash forecasting – rolling 13 weeks

7)      Manage Accounts Payable

8)      Diligently watch Accounts Receivable

9)      Closely monitor your Scorecard

During this crisis, I will pro-bono video conference for 60 to 90 minutes to provide any of the following with Small Business Owners in the Saint Louis market to:

1)      Facilitate and IDS (Identify Discuss Solve) issue solving to help address issues you are facing.

2)      Reverse Accountability Chart – After making sure your Accountability Chart and People Analyzers are up to date, create a plan for your business’ structure if you were to lose 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% or 50% of revenue.

3)      Level 10 Meeting™ audit

4)      Review of The 8 Cash Flow Drivers™ tool
