Successful Small Businesses usually have a Visionary

Match a great Visionary with a great Integrator and amazing things can happen. I recently attended a presentation by Bob Shenefelt, a Certified EOS Implementer, affectionately know as “Coach Bob.”

He shared, “What is a Visionary:”

  1. Bottleneck

  2. Dreamer

  3. Crazy

  4. Distracted

  5. Problem Solver

  6. Problem Creator

  7. Leader

  8. Inspirational

  9. Top Rainmaker

  10. The Vibe

  11. The Magic

  12. The Energy

  13. Embodies the Spirit of the Company

Visionaries often think they can do it all. I hear repeatedly, “Why can’t I be both the Visionary and the Integrator, I can do both.” or “I don’t need an Integrator.” My advice to Visionaries is to spend 80% of your time doing what you love and are great at. If you have a sound organizational structure with people who fit your culture and have the skills needed to do their job, start delegating. (If you don’t have a sound organizational structure, design one.) You will be less burned out and stressed out. The more you delegate, the more you will have time to take a vacation or pursue other interests.
